Your Packing List for Boating Season 2019 at the Lake of the Ozarks

Who's excited for boating season 2019 at the Lake of the Ozarks? I know our boat club at the Lake of the Ozarks is! We can't wait. In the spirit of being excited about boating season, Freedom Boat Club has put together a list of things you should pack for boating season at the Lake for your next trip down here. If you are a big fan of boating at the Lake but don't want to break the bank on buying a boat, you should strongly consider becoming a member of our Lake of the Ozarks boat club, as it half the cost of boat ownership.

A cooler with ice

It can get hot out there on the beautiful Lake, so bring a cooler for some delicious drinks and snacks to be stored in. Speaking of delicious boat snacks that should be stored in a cooler, check out this awesome recipe we just saw online:

Creamy Avocado Roll-Ups

Ingredients
1 medium ripe avocado chopped
1/2 cup tomato diced
2 oz cream cheese at room temp or softened(or yogurt or sour cream)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon lime juice
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika or chili powder optional
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 9-inch round tortillas

Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the avocado and cream cheese. Stir in the tomatoes, cilantro, lime juice, paprika and salt & pepper.

Spread half of the avocado mixture onto each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges. Roll the tortillas up tightly, then cut off the edges and slice into 1” rolls.

Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Games and playing cards

You will find there are several coves to anchor down and just relax in at the Lake of the Ozarks. During your downtime on the boat, bring something fun to entertain yourselves with, like playing cards - for drinking games or otherwise.

Non-glass beverages and coozies

While you're enjoying your nice, cold beverage on the Lake, don't forget to keep your hands comfortable with a cute coozie. Freedom Boat Club provides FREE ice for your cooler, so be sure to fill up before you head out on this beautiful Lake.

A good variety of swimsuits

One swimsuit is just not enough when vacationing to the Lake of the Ozarks. Bypass having to find a way to wash the one swimsuit each time and bring multiple ones for more convenience.

Waterproof case for your wallet, cell phone, and money

This Lake is beautiful and you will most likely want to take several photos with your phone. Protect your phone with a waterproof case.

Sun Protection: hat, sunglasses, and sun block

The sun is very strong here, especially between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., so don't let an awful sunburn ruin your boating trip and protect yourself! Bring a nice sunhat, cool shades, and SPF 50 or higher and you'll be set!

We hope you found this list helpful. For information on becoming a Freedom Boat Club member, check out our website at www.FreedomBoatClubLOTO.com or give us a call today at 573-302-0392. We hope to hear from you soon!
